Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against AI, readers and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

My son told me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
