US actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved television series like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing treatment for cancer since 2022, as reported by reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones stated in a message.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".

A Prolific Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.

He subsequently landed a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, playing a social organizer famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several popular shows, including:

  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

He was most recognized for portraying the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.

His cinematic roles are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.

He was involved with a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared on social media.

Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
